Traci Soriano | Veritas Massage Studio

Traci Soriano, BA, LMT & Owner (She/Her)

WA State License MA00020268

I have been in practice since 2004.  I specialize in a therapeutic approach to massage, which includes spending time discovering what each individual client needs. I work from a deep understanding and amazement of the body, combined with intention, connection and curiosity.

I have had a variety of advanced training in different modalities for injury, treatment, and preventative wellness, some of which include myofascial therapies, deep tissue, neuromuscular techniques, cupping therapies, somatic integration, and prenatal and postpartum massage. All massage is therapeutic and I will meet you where you are that day, whether you need deeper treatment, focus on an injury, or relaxation, you will receive the utmost care.

I have been a faculty at Whatcom Community College in the Massage Therapist program since 2011.  I teach Massage Therapy, Kinesiology, the Business of Massage, and Prenatal and Perinatal massage therapy.  I also have studied, trained, and worked in midwifery care and doula services for over 15 years and hold a Bachelor's degree in Psychology.

My practice is based on the body’s amazing ability to achieve balance and wellness. We are always working towards homeostasis, and when the body feels out of balance, different input can change the conversation with the nervous system and allow the opportunity for optimum health. My goal is to create a space for you to discover and explore what your body needs to find new awareness and connections that gives you tools to continuing moving towards wellness and ease.

NOTE: Traci’s schedule is currently closed to new clients. If you are current or returning client, please email wellness@veritasmassage.com to inquire about availability.

Khya Rice | Veritas Massage Studio

Khya Rice, BA, LMT (She/Her, They/Them)

WA State License MA00019526

What is our experience of ourselves?  Of our bodies?  How do we express our life's story in motion and are there areas where we could experience more ease in movement?

I graduated from the Brian Utting School of Massage in 2004 where I received an academically rigorous, well-rounded education in anatomy and physiology, massage theory and technique, communication, and business practices.

I have gone on to study and specialize in craniosacral therapy.  Cranial work is based in osteopathic medicine. This work relies on an inherent, universal healing force to help the body untie the knots that bind it up, lighten the darkness where suffering is stored, and heal itself. As people go through life they have physical, emotional, and spiritual experiences that can stick with them, make them sick, and cause them pain. I work with the movements of bone, muscle, membrane, and field as well as the health and flow of cerebrospinal fluid to optimize whole body function and assist in dispelling strain patterns.  I also provide intraoral therapy to help with release in the neck and jaw.

I approach each session with a 3-dimensional understanding of the body and a strong background in injury treatment.  I bring curiosity and an open mind to the table and tailor treatment to the individual.  I enjoy helping people investigate the barriers that keep them from feeling whole and balanced.

NOTE: Khya’s schedule is currently closed to massage clients. She is taking new craniosacral clients.

Taylor Walter | Veritas Massage Studio

Taylor Walter LMT (She/Her)

WA State License MA60783944

From a very young age, I’ve felt a calling to help people and began my journey into healthcare.

During my high school years I became a CNA and worked at my hometown hospital. I then transitioned into private in-home care while attending college at Western Washington University, where I received my Bachelor's Degree in Psychology.

While engaging in my own journey to health and well-being, I discovered naturopathic medicine, holistic healing, and massage therapy. I believe that in order to truly achieve a healthy body we must focus less on treating a symptom and more on treating the mind, body, and soul as a whole.

I approach each client with an open mind and have the respect and understanding that you know your body best. Massage allows me to help bring awareness to your body and how it is functioning while also helping to provide relief. I focus on creating a grounding and comfortable space for you to relax and heal. During sessions, I use a combination of Swedish, Deep Tissue, Trigger Point Therapy, Myofascial Release and Neuromuscular Techniques along with my intuition. I am also trained in and love providing Prenatal massage. I believe that massage is an integral part of a holistic and healthy life and I look forward to working with you wherever you are on your path to health.

I am a graduate of the Whatcom Community College massage program, where I received a rigorous and well-rounded education about the body and the healing powers of massage.

Cheyanne Griffin | Veritas Massage Studio

Cheyanne Griffin LMT (She/Her)

WA State License MA61106853

Throughout my whole life I’ve been interested in massage therapy. I’m fascinated by the complexity of the human body and feel the benefits of massage therapy are unparalleled. I know I came to this earth to be of service and to help others, so assisting my clients in finding balance within is extremely fulfilling.

Through my training at WCC I completed over 1000 hours of thorough training in anatomy, kinesiology, and a wide variety of massage techniques and modalities. I was blessed with encouraging and distinguished instructors. They not only motivated my success but also created a platform to step into my potential.

Being born and raised in Bellingham, I enjoy spending time outdoors mostly hiking and snowboarding during the winter. I also grew up dancing, doing all types from ballet to jazz dance. The connection and awareness dancing takes made me fall in love with the sport. It allowed me to fully connect to my body and showed me balance. The lessons I learned through dance have led me to where I am today. Massage therapy, like dancing, can strengthen your connection with your body, which is a vital part of happy and healthy living. With a grounded and connected approach, I aim to bring more awareness to the subtle nuances in the body. I strive to move with the body and find the way that flows best for you. Working with my intuition, experience, and knowledge, I am excited to create space for people to restore to a more centered state of being.

I feel that there is a state of peace deep within us that is our natural way of living. All sorts of things sway us from this place, but it's always there. In this place, we experience interconnectedness with our entire being, with others, and with life. A joy at just existing radiates in every cell and a sense of flow is felt. When tensions are held within our system, a disruption to this flow, this joy state, occurs. Like boulders in a river creating turbulence, our flow in life is hindered. Body work is a wonderful way to access these tensions, feeling the root of their presence, witnessing them, and allowing them to be released, returning us to our peace.

The human form and condition have always fascinated me. Especially the relationship between the two, body and mind, which really are one. I am called to body work through my own experiences of injuries and recoveries, emotional work and spiritual journeying. My soul's path has led me here to be of service to you in your healing journey.

I studied at Whatcom Community College in their wonderful massage therapy program. With a base training in Swedish massage, I layer other techniques such as myofascial release, MET, and Tensegrity Medicine. I listen with my mind, my heart and my hands, tailoring the massage to meet your current needs.

Regina Buckley LMT (She/Her)

My introduction to massage began as a little sprout when my sister and I would give each other back massages. This was significant in igniting a spark of interest in therapeutic touch without quite realizing it.

Growing up, I also played many sports, including soccer and volleyball; this background grew my interest in the human body and sports medicine, which ultimately steered me towards getting my BS in Kinesiology with an emphasis in exercise science from Cal Poly SLO. I have worked as a personal trainer with individuals over the age of 50 since 2015, and although I enjoyed helping people increase and challenge their fitness capacity, I found that something was missing. Exercise and fitness needed a manual therapy component to really help clients decrease movement limitations. I had the privilege of taking the time and ultimately finding my way to massage therapy. I attended and graduated from the massage therapy program at Whatcom Community College, where I really came to understand the multidimensional benefits of touch therapy.

My goal as a massage therapist is to help you feel more connected and at ease, physically, emotionally, and psychologically. I hope to encourage your own autonomy in the therapeutic experience and create space for you to form new and valuable connections within your body. By recognizing areas that feel “stuck”, we can work together to move towards freedom and ease of movement, finding what will be the most impactful therapeutic experience for you.

My massage sessions integrate a combination of modalities that are appropriate for you and your whole being. During my many years as a student of the body, I have cultivated a unique style, with your healing process in mind, as you continue to move forward into your life.

I believe that by introducing the body to a state of peace and balance, the intelligence of the human form can be fully realized. With the information you share, I use my tools and our combined intuition as a guide for this work. I show up to each session with fresh eyes, open to the vast possibilities of your body for shifting, ease, change, or growth.

When outside of the massage room you will find me enjoying and exploring the world with my three kids & husband. As well as being a part of community organizations that both push for social justice & change and celebrating the diverse communities in our area.

With compassionate awareness, I offer therapeutic massage to help your body and mind find ease, joy and harmony. Drawing upon my diverse body-based experiences, I create a unique and tailored approach to meet you exactly how you are today.

From my studies of movement in the Alexander Technique and as a snowboard instructor, I’ve cultivated a deep appreciation and belief that the body-being is always in motion–it is the quality of this movement that we can influence. In my massage education at Whatcom Community College, my yoga teacher training at 3 Oms, and my studies gaining a Bachelor's in Psychology, I’ve developed a rich and nuanced understanding of the inner body. Together these experiences, coupled with intuition, guide me to provide curious, adaptive bodywork informed by myofascial release, deep tissue, and Swedish massage.

In my free time, you can find me hiking, cooking, juggling and engaged in various other forms of tomfoolery.

Lauren Vogt LMT (She/Her)

Massage and bodywork have been vital to my own physical and spiritual healing.

I am deeply moved by the rich history of complex systems of massage and bodywork throughout the world. There are records of people practicing massage and bodywork from at least 2,500 years ago. Which means we've been practicing these arts for even much longer. It is a branch in all ancient medicine systems.

In my late teens I became a yoga student and my curiosity for holistic healing began to blossom more. I began to consider massage therapy as a profession and in 2014 I moved from Phoenix to Bellingham. After about a year and a half of settling into this newly foreign land, I decided to attend Whatcom Community College’s massage program. I've been practicing since and continue learning from other practitioners.

Through practicing Swedish, Thai, and deep tissue massage, I help regulate the nervous systems, work with easing restrictions from scar tissue, and support enhanced processes in the vascular, fascial, and lymphatic systems.

Massage therapy is a form of conversation. Through touch, more so than words, we listen to the body and person and hear what they need. Compassionate touch helps us attune to ourselves, find our equilibrium, as well as heal chronic, traumatic physical injury.

I would be honored to meet and work with you.

So intuitive, professional, and she works wonders every session. Highly, highly recommend going here if you are an expecting mama. I do plan to continue even after baby. "I have been going for professional massage for over 20 years.  Several years ago I went to Traci Soriano at Veritas Massage Studio, and now, no place else will do. Traci is "hands down" the best. She creates an environment of warm, positive energy, the scents and the music are perfect, and her style and method are spot on. I'm always amazed at how she knows what areas need work even before I do! I am so grateful for the consistently professional and excellent massage that I get at Veritas. Thank you, Traci!"

- Melissa W, Bellingham, WA

Travis is fantastic and one of the best massage therapists I’ve been too. I appreciate that before we start with the service, he really takes the time to ask questions about what you as the client want the massage to be like. I’ve been to others in the past who didn’t do that! He’s easygoing and regularly checks in. I’ve always left Veritas happy and relaxed.

- Katie M., Bellingham, WA

"That was the BEST massage I have EVER had. I have really bad back pain with my scoliosis, and have never been able to get any pain relief. I hate taking pills of any kind, so I have always just suffered through the pain. I stopped getting massages, because even though they feel great, they have never helped. That's all changed!

I have been pain free for 3 hours (and counting)! I have NEVER been pain free. I'm not sure how long it will last, but for a person who has had chronic back pain their whole life, 3 hours is more than I could have ever imagined, or asked for. Thank you thank you thank you! I will be seeing you soon!"

- Sara D, Bellingham, WA

Great staff. Everyone is very nice and is passionate about their work.
— Eric V.

"Khya at Veritas is excellent, and if you suffer from chronic joint pain, her healing hands will help to restore mobility and alleviate pain. The studio environment is very private and comfortable, and her demeanor is both professional and able to put you at ease. I would highly recommend!"

- Selena V., Bellingham, WA

Jesi was great! Very calming, thorough, and caring.
